BE EXALTED, O GOD ~~ McFadden
Measure 5, beat 4: RING A3 rather than mart-lift as the rest of the chord.
Measure 91: Swing handbells back on beat 3, and forward on beat 4, rather than on beats 2 and 3.
All other tempo markings, dynamic markings, ritardando, and required techniques are clearly marked.
BE STILL, MY SOUL ~~ Moklebust
Please read Cathy's notes on page 12 and enjoy the rich beauty of this fine arrangement's melody and harmony!
EASTER JOY ~~ Behnke
Obviously, rhythmic, fun, energetic...full of dynamic contrast, changing from one percussive technique to another...
spirited Easter melodies above it all. Please use the elevated shake technique for treble shakes in measure 96, start shaking
the bells at your side, and elevate the bells as the note value progresses.
SAVIOR OF THE NATIONS, COME ~~ Afdahl
Correction to measures 4 and 80: it should read E-flat 3 and E-flat 4 on beat 'four-and' in each of these measures.
Measures 45-60: please use Handchimes for ALL notes in this section.
AWAKE, MY HEART ~~ Afdahl
Follow the LV and R markings careful to achieve the full effect of tones blended together. Work for natural musical
expression within the phrases. The rhythmic and energized section beginning at measure 109 should be well prepared before
coming to the festival. Please know the various techniques required. Drill switching from one technique to the next as well
as the mixed meter and switching to HC and back to Handbells. I will give you a good downbeat at the beginning of each measure.
